My name is Korre Johnson and I’m thrilled to welcome you to Hooked on Creek, a podcast celebrating the music, history and fans of Max Creek. As an obsessed Max Creek listener, I started this podcast to share my passion for exploring the band’s massive archive of live shows and my interest in the band’s influence and history.
After discovering Max Creek and falling in love with their improvisational style of music, I just couldn’t get enough. I began amassing a huge collection of Max Creek live recordings, listening to show after show with awe and excitement.
In this podcast, I feature exclusive interviews with current and former band members, as well as conversations with diehard Max Creek fans. We discuss favorite shows, the evolution of the band’s sound, behind-the-scenes stories and more. These firsthand accounts bring Max Creek’s history to life and offer insight into what makes this band so special. I also curate live shows and rare songs, provide context on setlists and venues and point out standout jams that every Creek Freak should be aware of.
